Test Taking Tips:

What to bring on test day:
🪪  Valid ID
🎧  Earplugs (optional)

1) Take your EASIEST test first! ✅

•  Whether it's RLA, Science, Social
Studies, or Math, starting with your
easiest test gives you confidence
and momentum to keep going!

2) Take the GED Ready test before
each of your actual tests to see if
you're likely to pass! ✍🏼

•  The GED Ready practice tests (on
GED.com) are the best way to know
if you're likely to pass!

3) Read the question FIRST! 🥇

•  This can save you time, since
questions ask about a particular
part of a story or problem.

4)  Eliminate options if possible! 🚫

• Usually 1 or 2 of the answers are
unrelated to the question.  If you
can eliminate 2 answers, you have
a 50% chance of getting it correct!

5) FLAG questions if needed! ⛳️

•  If you're spending too much time
on a question, take a guess, FLAG
the question (by clicking the icon:
🚩 Flag for Review on the top right
of the test screen) and move on to
the next question.

6) Leave no questions BLANK! 📝

•  You can only gain points, but you
don't lose points for wrong answers.
So always choose an answer for
every question on the test!

7) All 4 GED tests are graded from
100 to 200, with 145 or above as the
passing score. 🎉

• Therefore, you need to get about
half of the answers correct to pass
each test!
